About this exercise

The Alternate Leg Lift Tap Arms Circle is a standing plyometric coordination drill that combines alternating knee drives with a hand tap and simultaneous arm circles. It challenges core stability, hip flexor strength, and full-body coordination while elevating the heart rate.

How to Perform

  • Stand tall with feet hip-width apart and arms extended to your sides
  • Begin making continuous forward arm circles with both arms simultaneously
  • Drive your right knee up toward hip height and tap the raised knee with both hands
  • Lower the right foot back to the floor and immediately drive the left knee up
  • Tap the left knee with both hands and lower the foot back down
  • Maintain steady arm circles throughout the entire movement
  • Keep your core braced and stay light on the balls of your feet
  • Continue alternating legs for the target number of repetitions
