The Alternate Knee Cross-Over Sit Against Wall is a hip mobility drill performed seated with your back against a wall. By alternating crossing one knee over the other, it activates the hip external rotators, glutes, and outer thighs while the wall provides postural support.

How to Perform

  • Sit on the floor with your back flat against a wall and knees bent, feet hip-width apart
  • Brace your core and keep your spine tall against the wall
  • Cross your right knee up and over your left knee, stacking the knees
  • Hold briefly, feeling the stretch in the outer hip and glute of the raised leg
  • Lower the right knee back to the starting position
  • Cross your left knee over the right and hold
  • Continue alternating sides for the target number of repetitions
