About this exercise

A dynamic plyometric exercise that pairs an alternating standing hamstring curl with an upward punch on the same side, training rear-chain activation, shoulder power, and full-body coordination. The alternating pattern challenges balance and keeps the movement rhythmic.

How to Perform

  • Stand tall with feet hip-width apart and arms relaxed at your sides
  • Shift your weight onto one foot and curl the opposite heel toward your glutes
  • Simultaneously drive the same-side arm upward in a punching motion toward the ceiling
  • Lower the foot and arm back to the starting position with control
  • Switch sides immediately, curling the other heel while punching with the opposite arm
  • Keep your standing knee soft and core engaged throughout
  • Move with a steady rhythm, making the curl and punch happen together
  • Avoid rocking the hips; keep your pelvis stable as you alternate
