About this exercise

The 4 corners curtsy is a dynamic lower-body agility drill where you perform curtsy lunges reaching toward four imaginary floor targets — front, side, back, and diagonal — challenging glutes, inner thighs, and hip stability from multiple angles.

How to Perform

  • Stand tall with feet hip-width apart and hands on hips or clasped in front
  • Step your right foot diagonally behind your left leg into a curtsy lunge, reaching your right hand to the front-left target on the floor
  • Return to standing, then step right foot out to the side and reach to the lateral target
  • Return to standing, then step right foot behind and across to reach the rear-right target
  • Return to standing, then step right foot forward-right into a forward curtsy and reach to that corner
  • Continue cycling through all four corners, then repeat on the opposite leg
  • Keep your front knee tracking over your toes throughout each lunge
