About this exercise

The weighted Svend press is a chest isolation exercise in which you press two weight plates together between your palms and push them straight out in front of you at chest height. The constant inward squeezing creates continuous tension on the pectoral muscles throughout the movement.

How to Perform

  • Squeeze the plates firmly inward with both hands throughout the entire set
  • Press the plates straight out in front of you until your arms are fully extended
