About this exercise

Wall Walks are an advanced bodyweight exercise that build upper-body strength, shoulder stability, and body control. Starting from a push-up position, you walk your hands toward the wall while simultaneously walking your feet up the wall until you reach a near-handstand position.

How to Perform

  • Begin in a push-up position with your feet touching a wall
  • Press firmly into the floor and walk your feet up the wall while simultaneously walking your hands toward the wall
  • Continue until your body is as vertical as possible with your chest close to the wall
  • Hold the top position briefly, maintaining a tight core and active shoulders
  • Walk your hands back out from the wall while lowering your feet down
  • Return to the starting push-up position in a controlled manner

About the Wall Walks

The Wall Walks is a foundational movement that builds strength and muscle through controlled, progressive overload. Train it 1 to 2 times per week with 3 to 5 working sets per session, gradually adding weight or reps as form holds up.
