About this exercise

A fundamental low-intensity cardiovascular activity that involves rhythmic, alternating leg movement at a moderate pace. Walking improves cardiovascular endurance, burns calories, and strengthens the lower body muscles with minimal joint impact.

How to Perform

  • Stand upright with your feet hip-width apart and arms relaxed at your sides
  • Step forward with one foot, landing with your heel first and rolling through to the ball of your foot
  • Swing the opposite arm forward naturally to maintain balance and rhythm
  • Continue alternating legs at a comfortable, steady pace
  • Keep your core gently engaged, chest lifted, and gaze forward throughout the walk
  • Maintain an upright posture and breathe steadily for the duration of the session
