About this exercise

The wave machine walk is a low-impact cardio exercise performed on a wave-motion cardio trainer, which creates a lateral undulating stepping pattern that engages the lower body and core while elevating heart rate. The smooth wave motion reduces joint stress compared to traditional stair climbers or treadmills.

How to Perform

  • Step onto the wave machine platform and secure your footing on the pedals
  • Grip the handles lightly for balance without leaning your full bodyweight on them
  • Begin stepping in a controlled, fluid wave-like motion following the natural arc of the machine
  • Keep your core engaged and maintain an upright posture throughout
  • Set your desired resistance and duration, and maintain a steady breathing rhythm for the session

About the Wave Trainer
