About this exercise

The Twist Punch Shuffle is a dynamic cardio exercise that combines lateral shuffling footwork with rotational punching movements. It elevates the heart rate while engaging the obliques, core, and shoulders in a coordinated, sport-inspired pattern.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent and fists raised in a guard position
  • Shuffle two to three steps to one side with quick lateral steps
  • As you plant your feet, rotate your torso and throw a punch across your body with the opposite arm
  • Shuffle back to the other side and repeat the punch on the opposite arm
  • Keep your core braced throughout to stabilize each rotational punch
  • Continue alternating sides for the desired duration
