About this exercise

A bodyweight plyometric movement combining a torso rotation with a forward arm raise, targeting the front deltoids and obliques while improving rotational mobility and shoulder endurance. The twisting component engages the core and adds a conditioning dimension to the classic front raise pattern.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and arms at your sides or lightly bent in front of you
  • Rotate your torso to one side while simultaneously raising both arms forward to shoulder height
  • Return to center as you lower your arms back down
  • Rotate to the opposite side and raise the arms again
  • Keep the movement fluid and controlled, maintaining a braced core throughout
  • Allow the hips to rotate slightly to support the twist without overextending the lower back
