About this exercise

The Torque Tank push is a self-powered resistance sled exercise in which you push the motorized unit across a surface against adjustable magnetic resistance. Unlike gravity-dependent sleds, the Torque Tank works on any flat floor and provides constant resistance regardless of incline, making it ideal for metabolic conditioning and lower-body power development.

How to Perform

  • Set the Torque Tank to the desired resistance level
  • Stand behind the unit and grip the handles at roughly hip height, arms nearly extended
  • Lean forward at roughly 45 degrees, keeping your back flat and core tight
  • Drive through the balls of your feet in powerful, alternating strides to push the tank forward
  • Maintain a strong forward lean and keep your hips low throughout the push
  • Push the tank for the target distance or time, then rest and repeat

About the Motorized Sled Push

The Motorized Sled Push is a foundational movement that builds strength and muscle through controlled, progressive overload. Train it 1 to 2 times per week with 3 to 5 working sets per session, gradually adding weight or reps as form holds up.
