About this exercise

A calf-strengthening exercise in which you walk forward on the balls of your feet with your heels raised throughout the entire movement. It improves calf endurance, ankle stability, and foot strength.

How to Perform

  • Stand tall with your feet hip-width apart
  • Rise up onto the balls of your feet, lifting your heels as high as possible
  • Walk forward in small, controlled steps while keeping your heels elevated
  • Keep your core braced and your gaze forward throughout
  • Continue for the desired distance or time, then lower your heels to finish

About the Toe Walk

The Toe Walk is a foundational movement that builds strength and muscle through controlled, progressive overload. Train it 1 to 2 times per week with 3 to 5 working sets per session, gradually adding weight or reps as form holds up.
