EasyLower back

About this exercise

A classic bodyweight posterior-chain exercise performed lying face down on the floor. You simultaneously lift your arms, chest, and legs off the ground as high as possible, mimicking the Superman flying pose, to target the lower back, glutes, and rear shoulder muscles.

How to Perform

  • Lie face down on the floor with your arms extended straight overhead and legs straight and together
  • Rest your forehead lightly on the floor at the starting position
  • In one controlled movement, raise your arms, chest, and legs simultaneously as high as you can off the floor
  • Squeeze your glutes and lower back muscles at the top
  • Hold the raised position for a moment, then slowly lower everything back to the floor
  • Repeat for the desired number of repetitions
