About this exercise

A simple standing shoulder mobility and warm-up exercise where you repeatedly bring both arms overhead and clap, activating the deltoids and upper traps. It is used as a dynamic warm-up, active recovery movement, or low-intensity endurance drill.

How to Perform

  • Stand tall with feet hip-width apart and arms at your sides
  • Raise both arms out to the sides and upward in an arc
  • Bring your hands together above your head to clap
  • Lower your arms back to the starting position in a controlled arc
  • Repeat at a steady pace, maintaining upright posture
  • Keep your shoulders relaxed and avoid shrugging as you raise your arms
  • Breathe rhythmically throughout the movement
