About this exercise

A mobility drill that bends the lumbar spine to the side, stretching the obliques and lateral musculature of the lower back. Performing both sides helps correct asymmetries and maintain balanced spinal mobility.

How to Perform

  • Stand upright with feet shoulder-width apart and arms relaxed at your sides
  • Slowly tilt your torso to one side, sliding your hand down the outside of your thigh
  • Keep your hips level and facing forward throughout the movement
  • Hold the stretched position for the prescribed duration
  • Slowly return to the upright starting position
  • Repeat on the opposite side
