About this exercise

A gentle mobility drill that rounds the lumbar spine forward to stretch the low back musculature and improve spinal flexibility. It is commonly used in warm-up and cool-down routines to relieve tension and restore natural movement in the lumbar region.

How to Perform

  • Stand upright with feet shoulder-width apart
  • Slowly bend forward at the waist, allowing the lower back to round
  • Lower your torso toward the floor as far as comfortable
  • Keep the movement smooth and controlled
  • Hold the stretched position for the prescribed duration
  • Slowly return to the upright starting position
