About this exercise

A dynamic bodyweight exercise performed in a high-plank position where you drive each knee out wide toward the same-side elbow, mimicking a spider-like movement pattern. The exercise challenges the core, obliques, and hip flexors while elevating your heart rate for a conditioning effect.

How to Perform

  • Start in a high push-up position with your hands directly under your shoulders and your body forming a straight line
  • Brace your core and keep your hips level throughout the movement
  • Drive your right knee out to the side toward your right elbow in a wide arc
  • Return your right foot to the starting position with control
  • Immediately drive your left knee out toward your left elbow
  • Alternate sides in a controlled but rhythmic tempo
  • Keep your lower back flat and avoid letting your hips rise or drop
  • Continue for the desired number of reps or duration
