About this exercise

The Spider Crawl is a full-body bodyweight movement performed in a low push-up position, alternately driving each knee toward the same-side elbow as you crawl forward. It challenges core stability, hip flexibility, and shoulder endurance while improving total-body coordination.

How to Perform

  • Start in a push-up position with arms straight, core engaged, and hips level
  • Step your right hand forward while simultaneously bringing your right knee toward your right elbow
  • Then step your left hand forward while bringing your left knee toward your left elbow
  • Continue crawling forward in a slow, controlled, and coordinated manner
  • Keep your hips low and your body roughly parallel to the floor throughout
  • Avoid letting your hips rise or rotate excessively as you move
  • Continue for the desired time or distance
