About this exercise

The Single Leg Stand is a foundational balance exercise that improves proprioception, ankle stability, and core control by maintaining a steady position on one foot. It is suitable for rehabilitation, warm-up routines, and mobility training.

How to Perform

  • Stand tall with feet together and arms relaxed at your sides
  • Lift one foot off the floor, bending the knee to a comfortable angle
  • Balance on your standing leg with a slight bend in the knee
  • Keep your hips level and your gaze fixed on a stationary point ahead
  • Hold the position for the desired duration
  • Lower your foot and repeat on the opposite leg
