About this exercise

The seated leg curl isolates the hamstrings, building strength and size in the back of the thighs as you curl the pad down against resistance.

How to Perform

  • Sit on the machine with your back against the pad and your lower legs resting over the roller pad
  • Adjust the thigh pad so it secures your legs and grip the handles
  • Curl your lower legs down and back by contracting your hamstrings
  • Pause briefly at the bottom and squeeze your hamstrings
  • Slowly return your legs to the starting position under control
  • Repeat for the desired number of repetitions
