About this exercise

Pulsing chest crossovers is a bodyweight chest exercise that uses small, rapid alternating arm crossover movements to maintain constant tension on the pectoral muscles. The pulsing motion creates continuous muscle activation, making it effective for chest toning and endurance training.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and extend both arms straight out in front of you at chest height
  • Cross your right arm over your left at chest level, squeezing the chest muscles together
  • Quickly uncross and then cross your left arm over your right in a pulsing motion
  • Keep the movements small and rapid, never fully opening the arms wide to the sides
  • Maintain continuous tension in the chest by keeping the arms close together throughout
  • Continue alternating the crossovers for the desired number of reps or time
