About this exercise

A plank variation in which you alternate extending the opposite arm and leg simultaneously, creating a four-point "power point" balance challenge. The movement demands anti-rotation core stability, balance, and coordination while building endurance in the entire trunk.

How to Perform

  • Start in a high plank position with wrists directly under shoulders and body in a straight line
  • Brace your core and keep your hips level and square to the floor
  • Simultaneously extend your right arm forward and your left leg back until both are parallel to the floor
  • Hold the extended position briefly while maintaining a neutral spine
  • Return your arm and leg to the start position under control
  • Repeat on the opposite side — left arm and right leg
  • Continue alternating for the desired number of reps
