About this exercise

The Plyo Sit Squat against a wall is an explosive lower-body exercise that develops power and strength in the quadriceps and glutes. Starting from a wall-sit position with thighs parallel to the floor, you drive upward through your legs with maximum force.

How to Perform

  • Stand with your back flat against a smooth wall and step your feet about 60 cm forward
  • Slide down the wall until your thighs are parallel to the floor, forming roughly a 90-degree angle at your knees
  • Hold the seated position for a moment, bracing your core
  • Push explosively through your heels to drive upward, leaving the wall
  • Land softly on the balls of your feet, bending your knees to absorb the impact
