About this exercise

A floor-based oblique crunch performed with both legs dropped to one side, isolating the oblique muscles through a lateral curling motion while keeping the lower body rotated to reduce hip flexor contribution.

How to Perform

  • Lie on your back and let both knees fall to one side, stacking them on the floor
  • Place your hands lightly behind your head with elbows wide
  • Engage your obliques and curl your upper body laterally toward your hips
  • Pause at the top of the crunch, feeling the contraction in your side
  • Lower back to the floor in a controlled motion, keeping tension in the obliques
