About this exercise

A rotational core exercise using a landmine attachment where the barbell end is swung in a wide arc from one side of the body to the other. The movement trains anti-rotation strength and oblique power through a full range of motion.

How to Perform

  • Anchor a barbell in a landmine attachment and stand facing the end of the bar with feet shoulder-width apart
  • Grip the end of the barbell with both hands interlaced and hold it at chest height in front of you
  • Brace your core and begin rotating the bar in an arc to one side, keeping arms relatively extended
  • Allow the hips to rotate slightly with the movement while keeping a stable base
  • Swing the bar through the bottom and continue the arc to the opposite side in a controlled manner
  • Reverse the arc back through center and to the starting side to complete one repetition
  • Maintain tension throughout the movement and avoid excessive lower-back rounding
