About this exercise

A dynamic plyometric exercise that combines a jumping jack with a split lunge, alternating between a wide lateral stance and a forward-back split stance. It elevates the heart rate rapidly while training lower-body explosiveness, hip mobility, and coordination.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet together and arms at your sides
  • Jump explosively, moving feet out wide and raising arms overhead as in a standard jumping jack
  • Immediately jump again, switching to a split stance with one foot forward and one foot back
  • Continue alternating between the wide jack stance and the forward-back split stance with each jump
  • Keep your core braced and land softly with slightly bent knees on every landing
