About this exercise

A plyometric exercise where you explosively jump upward and clap your hands together overhead at the peak of the jump. The movement develops lower-body explosive power, coordination, and cardiovascular conditioning.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and arms relaxed at your sides
  • Bend your knees slightly to load the jump, then explode upward as powerfully as possible
  • As you reach the peak of the jump, swing your arms up and clap your hands together above your head
  • Land softly on the balls of your feet with knees slightly bent to absorb the impact
  • Reset your stance and immediately repeat for the next rep
