About this exercise

A bodyweight posterior chain exercise performed face-down on an incline bench, where the legs are raised backward in an arc against gravity. The incline position increases the range of motion compared to a flat surface, placing greater demand on the glutes and hamstrings.

How to Perform

  • Set the bench to a moderate incline and lie face-down with your hips at the top edge
  • Let your legs hang down toward the floor, gripping the bench firmly with both hands
  • Brace your core and squeeze your glutes
  • Raise both legs in an arc until they are parallel to the floor or slightly above
  • Hold briefly at the top, feeling the contraction in your glutes and hamstrings
  • Slowly lower your legs back to the starting position under control
  • Repeat for the desired number of repetitions
