About this exercise

A supine floor exercise that rotates the lower body from side to side, simultaneously activating the glutes, hamstrings, and obliques. Keeping the upper back flat on the ground forces the core to control the movement and protect the lumbar spine.

How to Perform

  • Lie on your back with knees bent and feet flat on the floor, hip-width apart
  • Extend your arms out to the sides for stability
  • Brace your core and squeeze your glutes
  • Keeping your knees together, slowly drop both legs to one side until they are near the floor
  • Pause briefly, then drive through your glutes and obliques to return to center
  • Repeat to the opposite side, continuing in a controlled, alternating rhythm
