About this exercise

A plyometric exercise that mimics the jumping motion of a frog, developing explosive lower-body power, coordination, and cardiovascular conditioning. The deep squat position combined with a forward leap challenges the quads, glutes, and calves under dynamic load.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet slightly wider than shoulder-width apart and toes turned out
  • Lower into a deep squat, bringing your hands to the floor between your feet
  • Explode upward and forward, extending your hips and knees fully at the peak of the jump
  • Land softly with bent knees, immediately sinking back into the squat position
  • Touch your hands to the floor to confirm full depth before the next rep
  • Repeat the movement continuously for the desired number of reps or distance
