About this exercise

A high-intensity core exercise that adds explosive foot hops to the traditional plank position. You rapidly move your feet between plank positions — wide to narrow or forward and back — demanding continuous core stability, shoulder endurance, and full-body coordination under fatigue.

How to Perform

  • Begin in a high plank position with hands directly under your shoulders and your body forming a straight line from head to heels
  • Brace your core and glutes firmly before initiating any movement
  • Explosively hop both feet outward to a wide stance, landing softly
  • Immediately hop them back together to a narrow stance
  • Keep your hips level and avoid letting them rise or sag during each hop
  • Maintain a fast, controlled rhythm for the desired number of repetitions
