About this exercise

Floor core exercise performed lying on your back with hips elevated and legs performing a smooth cycling motion in the air, targeting the abs and obliques through constant tension. Keeping the hips raised increases the demand on the lower abdominals throughout the movement.

How to Perform

  • Lie on your back with arms at your sides or hands lightly supporting your lower back
  • Lift your hips slightly off the floor and raise both legs to about 45 degrees
  • Begin pedaling your legs in a smooth, circular cycling motion
  • Keep one leg extended while the other bends toward your chest in an alternating rhythm
  • Maintain the hip elevation throughout the set
  • Breathe steadily and keep your lower back from arching excessively
  • Continue for the prescribed duration
