About this exercise

A corrective mobility drill that targets the elbow's flexion range of motion — the ability to fully bend the arm and bring the wrist toward the shoulder. Improving elbow flexion is important for upper-body performance and recovering full joint function after injury.

How to Perform

  • Stand or sit upright with your arm relaxed at your side
  • Slowly bend the elbow as fully as possible, curling the wrist up toward your shoulder
  • Pause at end range for 2–3 seconds, applying gentle overpressure with the other hand if needed
  • Slowly lower back to the starting position with control
  • Repeat for the prescribed number of repetitions, then switch arms
