About this exercise

A bodyweight biceps exercise using a doorframe for resistance. You grip the door frame at about hip height, lean back to create tension, then curl your body toward the frame. No equipment is needed beyond a standard doorway, making it an effective option for home training.

How to Perform

  • Stand in a doorway and grip both sides of the frame at approximately hip or waist height with an underhand grip
  • Walk your feet forward slightly and lean back until your arms are fully extended and your body is at an angle
  • Curl your body upward by bending your elbows and pulling your chest toward the doorframe
  • Squeeze your biceps at the top position
  • Lower yourself back to the starting position with control
