About this exercise

The Diver Plank Jack is a plyometric bodyweight exercise that blends a plank jack with a diving push-up motion, demanding core stability, upper-body strength, and explosive lower-body coordination. It challenges multiple muscle groups simultaneously and keeps the heart rate elevated.

How to Perform

  • Start in a high plank position with hands under your shoulders and body in a straight line
  • Jump both feet wide apart, performing the jack portion of the move
  • Jump your feet back together and immediately lower your chest toward the floor in a diving arc, keeping elbows close to your sides
  • Press back up to the high plank position as you complete the dive
  • Brace your core throughout the entire movement to protect your lower back
  • Repeat for the desired number of repetitions
