About this exercise

A deep squat mobility drill where you hold a full squat position and rotate your torso to each side, opening up the hips, spine, and thoracic region. It improves rotational mobility and flexibility throughout the lower body and core.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and toes pointed slightly outward
  • Lower into a full deep squat, keeping your heels flat on the floor
  • Place your hands together in front of your chest for balance
  • Rotate your torso to the left as far as comfortable, opening your chest
  • Hold briefly, then rotate to the right side
  • Continue alternating sides in a slow, controlled rhythm
  • Keep your hips low and your spine as tall as possible throughout
