About this exercise

A plyometric jumping exercise where the feet cross over each other in mid-air on each repetition to challenge coordination, lower-body explosiveness, and ankle stability. It is a dynamic movement commonly used in agility and conditioning circuits.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet hip-width apart, knees slightly bent
  • Jump upward explosively, swinging your arms for momentum
  • While airborne, cross your right foot in front of your left (or vice versa)
  • Land softly with feet crossed, knees bent to absorb the impact
  • Immediately jump again and uncross your feet, returning to the starting position
  • Continue alternating which foot crosses in front on each jump
  • Keep your landings soft and your core braced throughout
