About this exercise

A dynamic bodyweight floor drill performed in a low bear crawl stance in which you switch your legs alternately in a cross-body pattern, challenging core stability, hip mobility, and shoulder endurance simultaneously. The alternating limb movement demands coordination and anti-rotation strength from the midsection.

How to Perform

  • Start in a bear crawl position on all fours with knees hovering just off the floor, back flat, and core braced
  • Shift your weight onto your hands and simultaneously switch the position of your feet by crossing one leg under the body
  • Land softly with the opposite foot now forward, maintaining a low hip position throughout
  • Continue alternating the leg switch in a controlled rhythm
  • Keep your hips level and avoid rocking side to side
  • Maintain a neutral spine and do not let your lower back arch during the movement
