About this exercise

A bodyweight floor exercise performed in a reverse tabletop position — hands and feet on the ground, hips lifted, belly facing up — that builds triceps, glutes, and core stability while improving shoulder mobility through lateral or forward-backward locomotion.

How to Perform

  • Sit on the floor with your knees bent, feet flat, and hands placed slightly behind your hips with fingers pointing forward or to the sides
  • Lift your hips off the floor by pressing through your hands and feet, forming a reverse tabletop position
  • Brace your core and keep your hips elevated throughout the movement
  • Step one hand and the opposite foot forward (or sideways) to begin walking
  • Continue moving in the chosen direction for the prescribed number of steps or distance
  • Lower your hips to the floor to finish the set
