HardBicepsGlutes

About this exercise

The cluster is a hybrid weightlifting movement that combines a power clean with a front squat and overhead press (thruster) in a single continuous effort. Each rep is typically reset briefly on the floor, allowing heavier loads than a standard thruster while maintaining explosive power output.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and the barbell on the floor
  • Perform a power clean, pulling the bar explosively and catching it in the front rack position
  • Descend into a front squat, keeping elbows high and torso upright
  • Drive explosively out of the squat and use the momentum to press the bar overhead to full lockout
  • Lower the bar back to the front rack, then to the floor under control
  • Reset briefly at the floor before beginning the next rep
