About this exercise

The burpee shuffle combines a standard burpee with a lateral shuffle step, adding a horizontal agility component to the classic full-body conditioning exercise. It elevates heart rate rapidly while training explosive power, coordination, and lateral quickness.

How to Perform

  • Start standing, then drop your hands to the floor and jump your feet back into a high plank position
  • Perform a push-up (optional), then jump your feet back toward your hands
  • Explosively jump up and immediately shuffle two to three steps laterally to one side
  • Land softly with knees bent and transition directly into the next burpee
  • Alternate the shuffle direction each rep or each set
  • Keep your core tight throughout and maintain control on every landing
