About this exercise

The boxing right cross is a powerful straight punch thrown with the rear (right) hand, generating force through hip and torso rotation. It is one of the strongest punches in an orthodox boxer's arsenal, targeting the opponent with full body mechanics.

How to Perform

  • Stand in an orthodox boxing stance with your left foot forward and fists at guard position
  • Pivot your rear (right) foot inward and rotate your hips and torso to the left
  • Extend your right arm straight toward the target, rotating the fist palm-down at full extension
  • Transfer your weight from the rear foot to the front foot as you punch
