About this exercise

A high-intensity core exercise that merges the bicycle crunch with a V-up for a full abdominal challenge. You explosively lift into a V-sit position and simultaneously perform a bicycle pedaling motion, driving opposite elbow to opposite knee to hit the upper abs, lower abs, and obliques in one fluid movement.

How to Perform

  • Lie flat on your back with arms extended overhead and legs straight on the floor
  • Simultaneously lift your upper body and both legs into a V position
  • At the top, begin alternating bicycle pedal motions, bringing your right elbow toward your left knee
  • Then bring your left elbow toward your right knee
  • Lower your torso and legs back toward the floor with control
  • Immediately initiate the next rep before fully touching down
  • Keep the movement fluid and controlled throughout
