About this exercise

A foundational standing forward-bend stretch that targets the hamstrings and lower back by reaching both hands toward the toes. Regular practice improves posterior-chain flexibility and reduces tightness from prolonged sitting.

How to Perform

  • Stand tall with feet together or hip-width apart, arms at your sides
  • Inhale to prepare, then exhale and hinge forward at the hips, letting your torso drop toward the floor
  • Reach both hands down toward your toes, keeping your legs as straight as comfortable
  • Hold the stretch for 1–2 seconds at the bottom
  • Slowly straighten back up to the starting position
