About this exercise

The Arm Double Crossover is a standing chest and shoulder mobility drill in which both arms swing horizontally across the body, crossing at the midline to open and stretch the pectoral muscles and anterior shoulder. The repeated swinging motion improves thoracic mobility and chest flexibility.

How to Perform

  • Stand tall with feet shoulder-width apart and arms extended out to your sides at shoulder height
  • Swing both arms forward and cross them in front of your chest, one arm over the other
  • Open them back out wide to the sides in a controlled arc
  • Repeat the crossover, alternating which arm is on top each time
  • Maintain an upright posture and keep the movement smooth and rhythmic throughout
